Woodland Hills Real Estate

Woodland Hills is a neighborhood bordering the Santa Monica Mountains in the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles, California.

Woodland Hills is in the southwestern region of the San Fernando Valley, which is located east of Calabasas and west of Tarzana. On the north it is bordered by West Hills, Canoga Park, Winnetka, and Reseda, and on the south by the Santa Monica Mountains.

Some neighborhoods are in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains. Running east–west through the community are U.S. Route 101 (the Ventura Freeway) and Ventura Boulevard, whose western terminus is at Valley Circle Boulevard in Woodland Hills.

Woodland Hills is located a short drive from Topanga Canyon which is a hidden little gem in the Santa Monica Mountains. This place is accessible from Malibu or the valley via Topanga Canyon Road. The road itself is a fun drive, one of many in LA county.

You are about 25-45 min from Pacific Coast Highway (Malibu and the beaches). The road is two lanes wide, and is more fun to drive and night headed from the SFV to Pacific Coast Highway. During the day, traffic will take the magic out of the drive. Stay away on rainy days, as it can get hectic: landslides, slick roads, and people who forget how to drive as soon as it starts sprinkling. If you’re looking for a nice drive and want an alternative to Mulholland, check this place out.
